Warriors beat the Rishon LeZion Rockets 88 - 6!
As per IHFL (translated and re-written):
A predictable one-sided game developed on the Kraft Campus in Jerusalem, but unlike the new teams in the league, Rishon LeZion did not give up on one of the leading teams in the league. They were able to put points on the board and managed to move the ball well while not abandoning the run game. The Warriors jumped to a quick lead with Avi Weinreb's kickoff return. After a great first down by Yaniv Chenbetzki's run, the ball went back to the Warriors and Greenstone found Rabinowitz for a passing TD. Yoni Ben-Naim, after his own 35-yard run, scored from the one-yard line. With their next drive, sitting at 4th and 20, he ran 49 yards for his second TD, growing the Warriors' lead 28-0 at the end of the first quarter.
At this point, the Rockets had trouble getting first downs even though they advanced with Chenbetzki's runs. And with a punt from their own 4-yard line that stopped on their side of the field, Ben-Naim continued using his dominance and bulldozed his way to his third TD of the day with a 28-yard run. A penalty against the Warriors gave the Rockets a first down, which went backwards after Yanir Cohen was sacked. The Warriors sealed their significant lead at the end of the first half with Avi Weinreb running for his second TD, Aryeh Citronenbaum catching a pass in the endzone, and Fox's pick-6.
Rishon LeZion did not give up. Throughout the game, the Warriors tried different variations of onside kicks; but specifically with the first kick of the second half, the ball almost reached the other endzone. Chenbetzki picked up the ball and in a glorious return took the ball 80 yards for a TD that surprised all. The Warriors quickly responded with a kickoff return for a TD of their own by Rabinowitz. Berkowitz and Back sacked Greenspan on a fourth down, and Greenstone connected with Citronenbaum for the second time for a TD. Avrami Farkas' players added two more scores in the last quarter, as Rabinowitz continued with his excellent returns including one for a TD and Greenstone hitting Odenheimer for a pass TD.
Yoni Ben-Naim: 3 touchdowns and 110 yards.
Greenstone: 7 for 10 completions, with 92 yards and 4 TDs.
Rabinowitz: 3 TDs (pass TD, kickoff return TD, punt return TD), 151 yards total.
Benyamin Berkowitz: 7 tackles (4.5 yards lost), 1.5 sacks.
Kashnow: 6 tackles, a fumble recovery, and a pass deflect.
The Warriors defense ended the game with 8 sacks.
